We are excited to announce the grand opening of the SAS Assegaai Submarine Museum on Febuary 2025!
The team is diligently working to transform the historic submarine into a captivating museum experience. This includes preparing the submarine itself, developing engaging exhibits, and creating welcoming visitor facilities.
To ensure a seamless visitor experience, our online booking system is currently under development and will be available soon. We anticipate launching this system in time for the grand opening in Febuary 2025!

Assegaai Submarine Museum

The Assegaai Submarine Museum is a non-profit educational institution dedicated to preserving South African naval history and public education through the restoration, exhibition, and interpretation of the SAS Assegaai submarine.  This historic vessel serves as a unique historical site and museum artifact, offering visitors a chance to learn about submarine technology, South Africa's naval heritage, and the importance of historic preservation.
